Meet Your Coach
I'm Melody Gonzales, and I've spent over 20 years learning what it takes to create real change from the inside out. I didn't just study leadership, I practiced and witnessed it at the highest levels.
🏛️ Career highlights: After graduating from the University of California San Diego (where I'm now the first Latina President of the UCSD Alumni Association), I started my career working for the NBC news station and chamber of commerce in San Diego. My master's of public policy program at Georgetown University brought me to Washington, D.C. Since then I've worked on inspiring and impactful efforts in the U.S. Congress, National Education Association, National Hispanic Leadership Agenda, campaigns and Barack Obama and Joe Biden’s presidential administrations- most recently as Executive Director of the White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence and Economic Opportunity for Hispanics.
